Alistar 3000
Synopsis :
Alistar 3000 is an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) capable
of executing a variety of inspection tasks on ultra deep Offshore
oilfields.
Video, sonar and its hovering capabilities provide the vehicle unique
capabilities to inspect underwater equipment and provide operators
greater flexibility and overall faster operations. Inspection of
pipelines, risers or mooring lines as well as Touch Down Monitoring
and post-lay surveys are the typical tasks. Alistar 3000 offers
the possibility of collecting video and sonar data during the inspection
of underwater equipment and stocks the information for post processing
data analysis. Compared to ROV or towed systems, both of which require
important infrastructure and equipment on board, Alistar 3000 does
not need an umbilical and a winch.
Main advantages:
High stability,
increasing acoustic sensors detection performance and reducing power
consumption
Hovering capacity
via its thrusters architecture (4 horizontal, 2 vertical & 2
lateral)
Easy deployment
overseas from ISO containers (airlift capacity)
User friendly
Mission Management System for mission planning, simulation, monitoring
and replay
Open and flexible
architecture enabling easy adaptation to various missions
Reduced operation time:
Advanced hydrodynamic
shape enabling high inspection speed
Un-tethered
operation enabling independent motion of the vehicle from the support
vessel (increased weather windows)
Reduced support vessel requirements:
Autonomous
operation liberates the support vessel to carry out parallel tasks
Light overall
spread (no TMS, no winch, no umbilical)
No medium voltage
requirement (vehicle powered by secondary batteries)
Reduced personnel
requirements & associated logistics (no pilot required for 24hr
operation duration)
